4. Here is a summary of this weeks story:

How Raven Brought Light to the World

Long ago, the world is only water. Raven is bored. He makes the land. He finds people in shells and helps them.

The world is very dark. There is no sun, no moon, and no stars. People are sad.

They cannot see their families or find food. Raven says, "I will find light."

Gray Eagle has the light. He keeps the sun, moon, and stars in a big box. He does not like people. He does not want to share.

Raven flies to Gray Eagle. He asks, "Please give us the light." Gray Eagle says, "No! The light is mine."

Raven has a plan. He turns into a small child. Gray Eagle’s daughter finds him. She takes him home. Gray Eagle likes the child.

One day, Raven asks, "What is in the box?" Gray Eagle says, "The stars." Raven says, "Can I play with them?" Gray Eagle gives him a bag of stars.

Raven runs outside. He turns back into a bird. He flies and puts the stars in the sky. The world has a little light!

The next day, Raven asks for the moon. He flies high and puts the moon in the sky. The world is silver and beautiful.

The next day, Gray Eagle gives Raven the sun. Raven flies very high. He puts the sun in the sky. Now the world is bright and gold!

Gray Eagle looks at the trees and the ocean. He is happy. He says, "The light is for everyone." Raven is happy too. The world is beautiful.
